Job Safety Analysis

JSA or Job Safety Analysis is often referred to is one system of risk assessment and hazard identification in the implementation focused on the identification of hazards that arise at each stage of the job / task performed labor or job safety analysis is a way / method used to examine and discover the dangers of previously ignored in designing workplaces, facilities / working tools, machines used and the work process.
According to the NOSA (1999), JSA is one effort in analyzing the tasks and procedures that exist in an industry. JSA is defined as a method of studying a job to identify hazards and potential incidents associated with each step, to develop solutions that can eliminate and control hazards and incidents.
JSA is one major step in the analysis of hazards and accidents in an effort to create a safe workplace. When the hazard has been identified it can be carried out control measures in the form of a physical change or improvement of work procedures that can reduce occupational hazards. In practice, safety analysis procedures require training, supervision and writing job descriptions, known as the JSA to facilitate understanding of working procedures to employees.
